Group assets

Description

For Release 3.0, it is possible to combine as many fixed assets as required into what are called group assets. The depreciation calculation then takes place with these fixed assets exclusively at the level of the group asset.

This way, depreciation at class level, for example, can be represented in accordance with American ADR legislation. Moreover, in the definition of the asset retirement transaction types, there are new control indicators especially for this, which allow an appropriate accounting for revenue earned on retirement from a group (Special retirement processing ).

For this, see also the documentation in the System Administration Guide under "Structuring Fixed Assets -> Display of Complex Fixed Assets".
