Transactions
for Simplified Notification Processing
Use
Using the transactions for simplified
notification processing, you receive a simplified view of a notification's
structure and a reduced selection of functions. In this view, you can only
access the functions you need to process notifications quickly and
efficiently. This processing view is primarily designed for users
who:
- Use the notification transactions casually and
do not need the full scope of notification functions
- Want to record the information for one or more
notifications quickly and easily
The transactions for simplified notification
processing differ from those for extended notification processing in the
following ways:
- The notification's structure and scope of
functions have been streamlined.
- The data you record is primarily limited to
the notification header, execution, and partner data.
- The levels and data fields for items, causes,
tasks, and activities are not present.
- You can only create tasks and activities using
the action box.
If you have the authorization, you can branch
from the simplified notification processing mode to the extended notification
processing mode.
You can use the functions for simplified
notification processing in both the SAP System and on the Intranet.
In the simplified notification processing mode,
you have the option of changing the notification type while creating or
processing a notification. However, the following limitations
apply:
- When you create or change a notification, you
can only change the notification type if the notification has the status
"Outstanding."
- When you change a notification, you can only
change the notification type if the notification has the origin "General
notification."
Effects on
Customizing
In Customizing for notifications, the following
settings are required:
- A default notification type is defined for
transaction IQS21 and the Proc. initial screen indicator is not
set.
- The subscreens for simplified notification
processing (subject matter, execution data, partner overview) are
active.
