Definition
The Qualifications subprofile creates a relationship between the following objects and a qualification:
Use
The Qualifications subprofile enables you to map the abilities and skills of the above-mentioned planning objects on the basis of the type of skill involved, and the degree of proficiency. The qualifications catalog is used to create this subprofile.
You should use the Qualifications subprofile to edit, manage, and evaluate the qualifications stored for an object. You can compare the requirements and qualifications of objects against each other and thus establish whether objects are suitable (for example, persons for positions) or whether qualification deficits exist. For more information, see
Profile Matchups.
You can call up the profile matchup between persons/users and the positions they currently hold directly from the subprofile. For more information, see
Your qualifications catalog must contain entries, otherwise you will not be able to create a Qualifications subprofile. For further information on creating and changing the qualifications catalog, refer to the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Development (step:
Edit Qualifications Catalog).
Structure
You can assign any of the qualifications from the qualifications catalog to the subprofile of a planning object (person, for example).
You can import qualifications (that is, transfer them from one person to another person, for example, or from a position to a person).
You can decide to what degree of proficiency a qualification is fulfilled by a planning object (or you can decide to omit this information). The proficiency scale used is determined by the qualification group to which the qualification belongs.
You can specify a validity period for every qualification.
You can enter comments (notes) for every qualification.
Name of the person who last changed the object.
Date on which the last change was made.
Integration
You can also create a Qualifications subprofile for object types other than those for which standard settings have been made. For further information about defining profiles, refer to the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Personnel Development (step:
Define Profile View).
