More Convenient Data Processing Sales Pricing/ Billing

Use

Data processing for sales pricing and resource-related billing is now even easier and more convenient.

As of this release, you can:

Complete Information at a Glance

As before, you can process data in the following views:

As of this release, you also have the option of displaying all data in one view, because the sales price view now also contains the information from the sales price basis/expenditure view.

The lower half of the screen for the sales price view now contains the following tab pages:

Without changing screens, you can process the SD items on the "Conditions" tab page, while simultaneously using the other three tab pages to monitor the effect of the dynamic items on the the formation of SD items and making any changes necessary.

Simplified Structuring of Dynamic Items:

In the sales price basis/expenditure view, the system shows the dynamic items in an overview tree.

In earlier releases, you could only structure the overview tree using the characteristices flagged as structuring characteristics in the relevantDIP profile.

As of this release, you can structure the overview tree per all the characteristics relevant to generating dynamic items, without having to change the DIP profile. To this end, you use the Change Hierarchy menu option to flag the desired characteristics as structuring characteristics.

Refresh Data:

At any time, you can have the system refresh the sales pricing you have already saved, or the resource-related billing data. To this end, the system reads the data from the relevant source again and adds it to the existing costing/resource-related billing document.

The settings you have maintained manually - for example, stipulating that only a certain percentage should be adopted for a dynamic item or adding an SD condition - remain in place. The advantage of this new feature is that you can, for example, create a billing request earlier for the project and can bill it as soon as the project is closed, without any extra work.

As of this release, you can create sales pricing in two ways:

1. As before, with reference to a customer inquiry
2. Using the central maintenance tool - Project Builder - without reference to a customer inquiry

The procedure for refreshing data is different in each case:

New Source

You can now execute the sales pricing, based on Easy Cost Planning. To this end, maintain the source Easy Cost Planning in your DIP profile. The system then uses the data from Easy Cost Planning to set up the dynamic items for sales pricing. If you create a sales pricing, that does not reference a customer inquiry, work exclusively with data from this source.
