Starting Workflows with Web Forms
Use
A Web form is completed by an employee or customer on the Internet and sent to the R/3 System.
The task (only workflow templates or standard tasks are supported) associated with this form is then started in the R/3 System. The corresponding import elements of the container for this task are then supplied with input data from the form.
Features
When the Web form is processed, a Web-enabled R/3 transaction ("Web transaction") is called from a Web page. The transaction is actually called via the
Internet Transaction Server (ITS).The ITS communicates with the R/3 System directly via the SAPGUI interface to support Web transactions.
