Description

The costs planned or posted in orders/networks represent commitments against the budget for the WBS element assigned. In the standard system, the assigned amount for a combination of:

is dependent on the order phase, according to the following rule:

Example:

System status Order phase
planned released completed deleted appended
1st Created X
2nd Released X
3rd Closed X
4th Deleted X
1. Case: Planned value represents committed funds.
2. Case:
a) Planned value > actual + commitment -> planned value represents committed funds.
b) Planned value < actual + commitment -> actual + commitment represent committed funds.
3. Case: Actual + commitment represent committed funds.

You can change this rule for exceptions.

Appended order plan values

In the Project System Implementation Guide, you can use the "appended" indicator to determine how the plan values from the order flow into the plan value for the relevant WBS element.

The plan value for the order increases the plan value for the WBS element. The total is displayed in the information system as the project plan.
The plan value for the orders is not added to the plan value for the WBS element.
