Purchasing: Working with Conditions and Contract Release Orders Across Purchasing Organization Boundaries
Up to Release 2.2, conditions are dependent on the relevant purchasing organization. As of Release 3.0, the conditions of a reference purchasing organization can also be used by others for the purpose of determining purchase prices.
It is also possible for several purchasing organizations to access the
contracts of one particular purchasing organization (the reference purchasing
organization).
If purchasing organization 1 creates a release order against a contract of
purchasing organization 3, the system will check whether the assignment of the
two organizations has been maintained. If linkage has not been defined, an
error message will be issued.
In order to work with conditions and contracts across purchasing organization boundaries, you must assign individual purchasing organizations to the desired reference purchasing organization.
