An application code is assigned to each individual application which uses Message Control (for example EF for ‘Purchasing’, V1 for ‘Sales’, MR for ‘Invoice Verification’).

If an application calls Message Control, the application code is given first and the application can therefore be identified. The current application data is transferred in communication structures.
