Displaying Line Items from the G/L Account Balance Display 

Use

For accounts with line item display, you can display the line items, which compose the account balance, directly from the account balance display.

Prerequisites

In order to go to the line item display from the G/L account balance display, the line item display setting has to be set for the G/L account. You make this setting in the G/L account master record.

You can find additional information on the line item display indicator of the G/L account master record under Defining "Line Item Display".

Procedure

  1. Select an amount in the account balance display with a double click to display the line items that make up this balance.

The following options are available:

To see:

Double click

Line items from previous years

The accumulated balance in the balance carryforward line

Line items from a period

The period desired

Debit or credit line items from a period

The debit or credit in the period selected

All debit or credit line items

The debit or credit in the totals line

The line item display appears.
  1. Various functions are available in the line item display. You can use them, for example, to search for a specific line item. You can find additional information under Functions in the Line Item Display.
  2. To return to the G/L account balance display, choose Back.
