Order selection through classification
Description
In Release 3.0 the following functions are available for order
selection:
- You can define your own selection criteria in Customizing containing the
characteristics by which you want to select orders.
- You can specify percentage or absolute threshold values for the selection
of the order values.
- You can specify a selection profile to select orders with particular
statuses.
Change system parameters in customizing
In Customizing you can define the selection screens for the information
system in the following applications:

- Engineer-to-order production
The selection screen determines the characteristics by which orders can be
selected. When you call up the order list, the system creates a selection
screen in which you can specify the settings for these specific
characteristics (such as order type PP01, material FIN-1).

Changes to the interface
The initial screen displays characteristics that you assigned to the
selection screen. To call up all the characteristics for order selection,
select Environment -> Classification .
Changes in procedure
In Release 3.0 you can call up the following functions:
If you defined further selection screens in
Customizing, you can use this function to choose another selection
screen.
You can use this function to display the
template for the data entry field.
You can use this function to display dialog
boxes by entering further selection criteria. You can specify percentage or
absolute variances between the planned costs and the actual costs, between the
planned quantity and the actual quantity or between the target costs and the
actual costs.
You can also specify the periods to which the
values refer, and whether orders are displayed if they do not yet have any
actual costs.
You can use this function to specify which
statuses are relevant for order selection.
