The owner of the view table (see CREATE VIEW statement) has the DELETE privilege for the view table, i.e. he or she can specify the view table as a table in which entries are to be deleted in the DELETE statement if the following conditions are satisfied:

• The view table is updateable ( updateable view table).
• The owner of the view table has the DELETE privilege for all tables in the FROM clause of the CREATE VIEW statement.
