Selecting TRs for Multiple Processing

Using the Display Task for Transfer Requirements

When you display a list of transfer requirements, you can select one or more transfer requirements and start the process to create transfer orders. See Displaying Transfer Requirements for a complete description of how to display and select the transfer requirements.

For this type of processing, choose Environment ® Create TO in background from the transfer requirement display screen. The system will inform you of the transfer order processing status.

Assigning a Group Number

To assign a group number to process a group of transfer requirements:

  1. Choose Logistics ® Logistics Execution ® Outbound Process ® Goods Issue for Other Transactions ® Picking ® Group of Transfer Requirements ® Create from the SAP menu.
  2. As a minimum, you must enter the warehouse number. To continue, choose Goto ® Display list.
  3. If you accept the system default of * for the Transfer type data field, the system displays the summary information about open transfer requirements. However, on this screen you cannot select any transfer requirements yet. In this case, you can select New selection to enter a transfer type.

On the preparation screen, the system displays three tabs. The Entries to be assigned tab displays summary information about the open transfer requirements and items, grouped by movement type.

Buttons at the bottom of the multiple processing preparation screens are used to manipulate entries in each of the tabs.

  4. To select a group of transfer requirement items, mark the line(s) with the desired movement type(s) and choose Calculate.
  5. The system copies the values for the marked line(s) into the fields in the Selected column. You can also manually enter values into these fields. For manual entries, the system randomly selects items from the movement type for processing.

You can also double-click an entry to view and select individual transfer requirements for a group. In the detailed list that appears, you can select a column header and sort the entries in that column in ascending or descending order. Here, you can mark entries and choose ENTER to select items for processing.

  6. To create the group, choose  Group ® Assign or Group ® Assign and start from the menu bar.
  7. The system displays a dialog box in which you can enter a description for the group.

You can either specify an external group number or you can allow the system to assign a group number internally.

If you decide to enter an external group number, you enter it on the second line of the dialog box under the description. The system checks the group number you specify for admissibility. The external group number is not allowed if:

    · The number lies in the future of a number range for group numbers

    · The number has already been created in the group number table

    · The number lies in the future of the current number range

  8. Enter the description (and external group number if desired) and choose Continue or ENTER .
  9. The system moves the newly created group to the Assigned entries tab

  10. At this point you have three options:
    1. You can end the assignment task by choosing Back. At a later time, you can create transfer orders for the group. (See Creating Transfer Orders for a Group.)
    2. You can create the transfer orders from the Assigned entries tab by choosing Goto ® Start multiple processing.
    3. The system displays a window with the group number and your description.

    4. You can delete the group by choosing Group ® Delete. If you delete the group number for an entry, these items are returned to the pool with entries that are to be assigned. You can then reassign these items to a new group .
  11. If you started multiple processing, select the appropriate group number and choose Choose.

The system displays the results summary screen with a message that the transfer orders were created.

On this screen, if you choose   Display details, the system displays a list of all source documents and information about transfer orders that were created. If errors occur, the system displays an error text and provides an opportunity to correct the error and create transfer orders for the transfer requirement.
