The system proposes the palletization information, if available, from the material master record. You can accept the proposed values or overtype them. Choose either
To save the transfer order, choose Transfer order ® Post. The system returns to the initial screen with a message that the transfer order was created.
With this transfer order the system posts the quantity in WM. A negative quantity is posted to the goods receipt interim storage area while a positive quantity is posted to the destination storage area. These individual quantities zero each other out and leaves the WM total stock balance at zero.
Displaying the Stock Balance
There are several ways to display the stock balance. For example, you can choose Master data
® Material ® Stock ® Stock overview from the WM menu bar. This task displays the summarized stock balances by storage type for a specific material.Posting the Goods Receipt in IM
You complete this type of goods receipt by posting it in IM.
With this task the stock in IM is increased. Additionally a positive quantity is posted to the goods receipt interim storage area in WM. This means that the negative quantity in the interim storage area is removed, resulting in a positive quantity in the storage bin.
