Displaying Attributes

The Debugger contains display modes in which you can display the technical attributes of a single field or a structure.

Procedure

Open the display mode for fields or structures by choosing Goto ® Single field or Goto ® Structured field.

In the Field field, enter the name of the field or structure whose attributes you want to see, and press ENTER .

Depending on whether you specified a single field or a structured field, one of the following sets of information will appear:

Structured field: The system displays all of the fields in the structure with their type, length, and contents. To display more detailed information about a single field in the structure, double-click it. To return to the overview of the structure, choose Back.

Single field: The system displays the contents of the field and detailed information about its type, length, output length, and number of decimal places.

If you enter the name of a single field in the attribute display for a structured field, the system switches automatically to the single field display. Likewise, if you enter the name of a structured field in the attribute display for a single field, the system will switch to the structured field display.

Other Functions

In single field mode, as in the fields display mode, you can change the contents of a field or display them in hexadecimal format.

In structured field mode, you can choose whether to show or hide substructures.
