Up to now in address lists, you could only display telephone numbers for customers that you then had to dial manually. As of Release 4.6A, the same automatic dialing functions featured in sales activities are now available for address lists.
Choose the phone icon in the address list to draw up a list of relevant telephone numbers and process them using the full range of call center functions in SAPphone. Note that this icon appears only after you have configured SAPphone for your work centers.
We have also enhanced a general calling function for both address lists and sales activities . Up to now, the system determined the relevant addresses, with the corresponding telephone numbers, and automatically assigned standard descriptions to them. The number of telephone numbers that you could maintain for each customer was limited.
In Release 4.6A, you can assign any number of private, main business, and alternative business numbers. There are no longer standard descriptions, however: you must maintain these yourself for the various addresses in the customer master record.
With so many addresses per customer it may be difficult to discern which numbers are private, main business, or alternative business numbers. As a rule if the company field is blank, it is a private address. If the company field contains the name of the contact person, it is the alternative business address.
