Searching By Letter or Number Combinations 

You can use the function Find to search for the initial and drilldown lists in the standard analysis as well as the lists in the dialog box (for example, ‘All key figures’, comparison lists, selection log) by letters or number combinations.

The result of this search is displayed in a dialog box with a list of those entries that match the search criteria. By double clicking on the entry you require, you can return to the initial or drilldown list and the entry you searched for will then be displayed at the top of the list.

If you want to search through the currently displayed list by letter or number combination, proceed as follows:

  1. From the standard analysis menu, select Edit ® Find
    A dialog box appears.
  2. In the Search for field, specify the letter or number combinations you want to use.

    3. You can carry out the search in one of two ways:

    – Beginning only with the first line of the currently displayed list

    – Only for the currently displayed page

  3. In the Cancel search after hits field, specify the number of hits after which the search should stop.
  4. Select the function Find. The system searches the initial or drilldown list in accordance with the letter or number combinations you specified. A hit list appears.
