You can maintain the financial statement item texts in any language you require in the Implementation Guide in the section Master data
® Financial Statement Items ® Customized FS Chart of Accounts ® Maintain FS item texts. You can maintain medium and long texts as well as short texts:The programs use either long or short texts. When defining data entry forms and totals reports you can select any one of the three text types available.
When editing the medium and long texts, you can also specify so-called "text numbers." This allows you to supplement the balance sheet and income statement items with leading letters, Roman numerals and Arabic numbers according to the laws of certain countries requiring classification of financial statement items. When calling up data entry forms and balance sheet reporting, you have the option of whether or not to display the text numbers. The separation of the text number from the actual text itself offers you the following advantage: You can include the text number in the heading for a group of items, but print the total line for the same group of items beneath with a totals symbol (***) instead of the text number, along with the actual text for the group of items.
You can also maintain the short and medium texts in FS Chart of Accounts Maintenance.
