Merchandise and Assortment Planning: Promotion and Allocation Table Interfaces

Use

To implement the planning processes you have defined in Merchandise and Assortment Planning (MAP), Release 4.6C provides interfaces for:

Scope of Functions

If you use SAP Retail, you can create promotions and allocation tables in MAP. During planning, you can define the rows and columns whose values are to be used when generating promotions and allocation tables. Additional data such as promotion type and allocation table type, is taken from Customizing and can be changed as required. A log is created when promotions or allocation tables are generated. The log gives an overview of the promotions and allocation tables and can be used to branch to the relevant application for running subsequent processing of the promotions and allocation tables.

Planning interfaces are used for exchanging or copying planning data from planning versions to applications outwith MAP.

The following interface categories exist:

Interfaces are created for planning steps. Plan versions, characteristics and key figures are assigned to the planning step to be defined so that the data to be copied or exchanged can be clearly defined.

If the task is to not be run in MAP, enter the correct RFC destination in the interface.

You can make additional settings depending the interface category you are using.

If planning data only exists at aggregated levels (for example, material group), data from lower levels (for example, material) is also required for copying data. This means that a suitably defined grouping break-down can be assigned to the interface.

Grouping break-downs describe rules used to find the objects contained in a grouping. Groupings can be defined in two ways in SAP System:

Information about release upgrades

After upgrading from 4.6A or 4.6B to 4.6C, reorganization program RWIS_PLAN_REORG2 must be run once before MAP can be used.
