In the Logistics Information System, many of the settings must be made in accordance with the respective application. As a rule, you can use those standard applications which are components of the Logistics Information System.
For many considerations which concern the Logistics Information System, you need to use cross-application functions. It therefore makes sense to analyze data from a variety of applications together (for example, Purchasing and Sales).
The most important data collection settings, however, are assigned to no more than one application. You therefore have to define new applications which can be used for "mixed" views and which have the features of more than one standard application.
You can first use all of the SAP applications which are integrated in the Logistics Information System. This allows you to arrange the "mixed applications" that you need for your business.
