- Creating
Browser-Based PI Sheets
Use
This release note provides a general
description of how you proceed to create a
browser-based PI sheet:
1. You create a
process order or master recipe.
2. You assign a
control recipe destination of type 4 to the phases
of the process order or master recipe.
3. You assign
process instructions to the phases of the process order or master recipe. You
can use the following process instructions:
- You use the existing process instructions of
type 1 and 2 and type 4 to 7. The system automatically converts these process
instructions to type 0 when you start the PI sheet.
- You use the new universal process
instructions of type 0. If you do so, you must follow certain
rules to define these process instructions.
For more information about universal process instructions, see the SAP Library
under Logistics -> Production Planning and Control (PP) ->
Production Planning for Process Industries (PP-PI) -> PP - Production
Planning - Process Industries -> Process Management -> PI Sheets ->
Process Instructions for the R/3 PI Sheet -> Type 0: Universal Process
Instruction Category.
4. If you have
not defined a layout in the order, the system uses the standard layout for all
PI sheets. If you want to use your own layout, you proceed as
follows:
a) You enter a
process instruction with characteristic PPPI_LAYOUT at the beginning of the
control recipe.
b) You enter
the URL of the XSL style sheet you want to use in the long text of
characteristic PPPI_LAYOUT.
For more information, see the SAP Library under Production
Planning - Process Industries -> Process Management -> Layout Definition
for PI Sheets and Cockpits.
5. You release
the process order.
6. You create
the control recipes.
7. You send the
control recipes.
Usually, control recipes are sent automatically in a background job. After the
control recipes have been sent successfully, they can be called up for
processing.
8. To call up a
PI sheet, you go to the SAP menu and choose Process Management
-> PI Sheet -> Find .
