Adding the pricing worklist function when transferring legacy data

Use

When you transfer conditions for sales prices from legacy systems, you need to link the transferred data to the pricing worklist function. This enables the system to generate entries in the pricing worklist for the conditions affected by any changes made to pricing-relevant purchasing conditions. This link was previously created manually in several steps but is now supported by an automatic function.

Previous procedure:

When using IDoc "COND_A01" to transfer legacy data, only the condition records for the purchasing and sales conditions were generated. For the pricing worklist, however, additional pricing documents and document indexes must be created to facilitate the link between sales and purchasing conditions. These documents are usually created in the SAP System when the sales price calculations are saved.

When transferring legacy data, the pricing documents and document indexes used to be created in the standard sales price calculation function after the fact, using the "Transfer previous sales price" procedure in combination with the "Pricing levels with specific sales prices only" indicator. This procedure is time-consuming and liable to contain errors. The reasons for this are as follows:

New procedure:

The link to the pricing worklist function is created in two steps:

1. For the condition types entered in the Customizing table "T6I1", pricing worklist entries are created automatically under document type "11" in the "WIND" table during IDoc inbound processing.
2. The report "RWVKPIC2" (Subsequent Compilation of Document Indexes: Create Pricing Documents and Document Indexes) uses the pricing worklist generated in this way to generate pricing documents with associated document indexes (Table "S111", document type "10").

You will find further information on this procedure in the documentation on the pricing worklist function in the SAP Library.

Effects on Existing Data

No new conditions for sales prices are generated.

Effects on Data Transfer

IDoc processing may cause a slight drop in performance due to the generation of the pricing worklist.

Effects on Customizing

You need to define the condition types for generating the worklist under "Subsequent Index Compilation for Sales Prices" (Customizing table "T6I1") in Customizing for Pricing.
