Update Planned Records

Use

The Update planned record function relates to the derivative financial instruments, Cap, Floor, Swap and FRA.

Usually, future interest payments are passed on to Cash management to have a correct liquidity status. Flows with a fixed interest rate are immediately passed on to Cash management when the transaction is created.

Estimated values of amounts for flows with a variable interest rate must be determined as the percentage values of reference interest rates can change daily.

You use the Update planned record function for:

  1. Determination of all planned records that are relevant/still exist.
  2. Determination of all reference interest rates that have an influence on the size of the amount of the individual record.
  3. Determination of the interest rate (percentage value) per reference interest rate.
  4. Determination of an amount per planned record using the interest condition.
  5. Iteration of all planned records.
  6. Resetting of the corresponding planned records in Cash management
  7. Update of this record in Cash management using planning level control.

Prerequisites

In Customizing, you must maintain a planning level via Product types to be able to assign a planning level to the transaction activity.

When defining the flow type for interest flows, you must be careful to describe it as "Relevant to Cash management" (otherwise, these flows get a Cash management block).

By double clicking on the interest value, you get to the reference interest rate and the value.

: This sign means that the reference interest rate is used in one or several transactions but that a value was not found by the specific table search.

Via double-click, you access the single planned records and their amounts that are passed on to Cash management in a productive run. You can also see the planning level at which the planned record is posted in the planned record detail view (for a productive run).
