Assigning Commitment Items to Cost Elements 
To assign commitment items to cost elements, proceed as follows:
The Maintain Cost Element - FM Account Assignment screen appears.
If you have entered a cost element group on the initial screen, this commitment item is automatically assigned to all the cost elements in that group. You cannot then assign a different commitment item to any of the cost elements in the group.
If you have already assigned a commitment item to any of the elements in this group, you must first delete this assignment or remove the cost element from this group.

If you not only want to use assignment of FM objects to CO objects as an input facility when making postings in other integrated components, but also want to copy the CO postings into Funds Management, you have the option of entering just a CO account assignment in the other component postings.
