Definition for PI Sheets and Cockpits
Use
You can freely define the layout of
browser-based PI sheets and
process manufacturing cockpits. If you do not specify a layout
definition, the standard layout defined by SAP is used. The standard layout
used was designed mainly for the browser-based PI sheet but is also used for
cockpits. SAP may, however, make additional layouts available at a later
date.
You can define the layout for PI sheets and
cockpits as follows:
- You can display additional frames, such as
another PI sheet, a process manufacturing cockpit, or an internet or intranet
page, beside the PI sheet or cockpit.
To do so, you must
enter characteristic PPPI_LAYOUT in a process instruction. You can then enter,
for example, a frameset definition in the long text for characteristic
PPPI_LAYOUT.
- You can replace the standard layout with your
own layout. You can, for example, define different layouts for different
application areas.
To do so, you must
define your layout in an XSL style sheet and store it in the SAP System. You
enter characteristic PPPI_LAYOUT in a process instruction and refer to this
style sheet in the long text for characteristic PPPI_LAYOUT.
