E2TPSHH-SHPID field : Shipment number

Shipment document number. The shipment number is subject to important marginal conditions, which must be guaranteed by the transportation planning system.

The shipment number

May only contain numerical characters
Must be unique to the shipment document
Must come from the external number range assigned to the transportation planning point in R/3 Customizing (transaction 0VTP). The number range can be set to your requirements in the R/3 system client setup so that the given corresponding document numbers are also guaranteed in the transportation planning system.

E2TPSHH-SHPTYP field: Shipment type

Shipment type is defined in R/3 Customizing (transaction 0VTK) and describes the following aspects of the shipment:

Shipment mode (partial load, full load)
Means of transport (truck, rail)
Direction (inbound or outbound shipment)
Leg indicator (direct leg, preliminary leg, main leg, subsequent leg)

The shipment types that have to be made available to the transportation planning system must be created in R/3 Customizing with the corresponding parameters in order to guarantee seamless interface performance.

E2TPSHH-SHPPPT field: Transportation planning point

The transportation planning point corresponds to the transportation planning system and must be adopted directly from field E2TPDLH-SHPPPT of IDoc TPSDLS0. As it is not possible to plan across planning points in a shipment, only one transportation planning point can appear in a shipment for consolidated deliveries.

If a planning system is linked to several planning points, it is important that you ensure that the deliveries for the different transportation planning points are processed separately. These deliveries must not get mixed up during planning.
