Define Follow-Up Actions

In thisIMG activity, you can define what follow-up actions are possible when problems prevent a material from being discontinued. All follow-up actions are linked to a function module that is executed when the follow-up action is called.

Example

Follow-up action Description Function module
LK Reset listing FA_SET_BACK_LISTING_CONDITIONS
conditions

You want to discontinue a material that is still listed. As a result, you must first delete the existing listing conditions. You can do this by carrying out the follow-up action LK during material discontinuation.

Requirements

Your R/3 System is configured as an

SAP Retail System.

Activities

You can adopt the standard settings. If you want to define other follow-up actions, you must implement function modules for them and assign these function modules to your own follow-up actions.

Further Notes

Be sure to read the documentation for the activity Assign Follow-Up Actions to Error Messages in Customizing for the Material Master.

For more information on material discontinuation, see the SAP library documentation LO SAP Retail -> Articles: Article Discontinuation.
