Connecting Work Centers 

Prerequisites

You can position work centers in the hierarchy by connecting them in the hierarchy graphic.

To do this you must call up the hierarchy graphic from hierarchy maintenance. If you call the graphic from work center maintenance, you can only display the hierarchy structure.

Procedure

  1. In the hierarchy graphic choose Edit ® Connect.

    2. The cursor is now displayed as a pencil..

  2. Place the cursor on the superior work center.
  3. Press the left hand mouse button and, keeping it pressed, move the cursor to the work center that you want to assign to a subordinate position.

You can only assign work centers to a superior work center, as long as they are not already above the superior work center in the hierarchy. If you want to change the order in a hierarchy in this manner, you must first delete the existing assignments.
