Scope of Functions
Maintaining texts has been simplified and unified in all sales documents.
You now maintain text on a screen divided into two: the available text
types are displayed on the left-hand side in an overview tree and you enter the text on the right-hand side.
- The Default language field no longer exists. Instead, there is a
list field under the text window, where you can choose the language for
the text. This enables you to create texts in several languages on one screen.
- You can branch directly from the text scren to the Text Editor (the
SAPscript Editor in the standard system) to format the text.
- When you enter text, the screen contains word processing functions such as cut, add, undo last entry, find, and so on.
- You can also save the text as a local file, or you can upload a local file into the text box.
- Any texts are displayed in the overview tree so that you can see the
text types and languages of available texts as soon as you call up the text screen.
You cannot delete mandatory texts.
In the sales activity, you will find the text screen in the overview screen (without an overview tree) or on the Text
tab page. You can no longer call the text up from the menu.
- You can enter a sales texts in sales orders and sales activities before
you enter a sold-to party. The text entered manually has priority over any text determined automatically by the system.
- You can import a standard text.
- If you want to change a text to which you refer, you no longer need to
delete the reference first. As soon as you change the referenced text,
the system automatically duplicates it and deletes the reference.
Effects on Data Transfer
You cannot use batch input to enter texts.
