Management: Integration into Configuration Management 
Use
As of this Release you can use functions from Collaborative Engineering and Project Management (CEP) and Configuration Management.
In this business process information and product knowledge is exchanged between SAP users and external business partners in order to complete tasks quickly and to ensure quality.
- More than one partner can work from their own computers on the task or solution. Project data (PS), product structures and documents (PDM) can be exchanged over the Internet and modified, edited, and processed offline.
- Changes are sent back, compared, and then uploaded into the SAP System.
All objects you want to publish are put together in the configuration folder. You can also add documents to a configuration folder as well as materials, WSB elements and other objects that are relevant to a product or projects particular lifecycle.
Important statuses of a product configuration can be documented so that all relevant changes to product data are set in baselines. A complete product configuration from a particular time is frozen in a baseline and can be recreated at any point.
The processing status pf a document is only frozen in a baseline when the following prerequisites are met:
- The document is part of the structure of a configuration folder.
- The document type has been defined so that documents of this document type are relevant for Configuration Management.
- The document has a document status that is set with a release indicator.
