Method for Employee's Years of Service 
Use
Before this release, you entered an employee's previous years of service in the Contract Elements infotype (0016). The system uses this data to calculate the employee's contribution payments to MPF or ORSO-type schemes.
As of release 4.6C, you can also use the Date Specifications infotype (0041) as an alternative method to calculate an employee's years of service. You use the Date Specifications infotype to create a technical hire date. The technical hire date includes the current employment period and any previous years of service. The system then uses this date to determine the employee's total years of service.
This new method has a higher priority if both methods are used in the system.
