The forwarding agents have access via Internet to the shipments offered and they can accept, reject, or accept under certain conditions. They use selection variants (such as
North route ) to select the shipments that are offered to them. They can also display details about the shipments. If a forwarding agent wants to take on one of the shipments that is offered, he or she sets the tendering status to Accepted by forwarding agent. Forwarding agents can enter data such as deadlines, means of transport or tracking data directly in the shipper’s system for shipments that they have accepted.Overview: Confirming shipment tendering and shipments
For example, you can display all shipments that have the status Accepted fwdg agent and the status Fwdg agent rejected. You can choose the shipments that you want to accept from this list.
Choose Logistics Execution ® Transportation ® Transportation Planning ® Lists and Logs ® Shipment Tendering Status Monitor and enter the selection criteria.
On the overview screen, set the tendering status on the Processing tab to Confirmed by shipper or to Offer canceled.
The forwarding agent can enter notes such as "Delays of approximately one hour are possible" in the Tender text field. If the planner does not want to accept such delays, he or she can enter another forwarding agent in the FwdAgent field and reset the tendering status to New offer from shipper. The shipment is then offered to the next forwarding agent.
