When a production order is released, the planned costs for the activity types and material components (fixed, total, variable costs) are calculated. The actual costs are updated upon goods issue and completion confirmation.
In repetitive manufacturing, the standard costs for the activity types and the material components (fixed, entire, variable costs) are calculated by compiling a standard cost estimate. Standard costing is updated when actual data is entered.
If you want to perform a product cost analysis, go to the Shop Floor Information System menu and choose: Standard analyses --> Product costs --> New selection.
