Assign Strategy Sequence To Order Type

In this IMG activity, you assign a strategy sequence for each order type. For new orders, the system transfers the strategy sequence to a corresponding order type in the settlement parameters.

The system generates automatic settlement rules for an order in the following situations:

The assigned strategy sequence acts as a default value for the order type. You can enter a user-defined strategy sequence in the settlement parameters for each order. However, the time and changeability dependencies are fíxed for each order type , meaning that you cannot define them for individual orders.

Requirements

You created a suitable strategy sequence (either predefined by SAP, or user-defined).

Activities

Assign strategy sequence to order type

1. Choose Display -> Change
2. Choose New entries
3. Enter an order type, and an assigned strategy sequence. In the Changeable field, specify how a settlement rule that was automatically generated should behave, if a settlement rule already exists for an object. Then choose the time (system status) that automatic generation of the settlement rule is to start.
4. Save your entries

Remove or replace any strategy sequences that were assigned to the order type.

1. Choose Display -> Change
2. Remove the strategy sequence, and enter a new one for the order type.
3. Save your entries

Further Notes

To avoid performance problems, choose the latest time possible for automatic generation of the settlement rule.

If you require user-defined strategy sequences, choose

If you created orders with reference orders, or if you assigned a model order to an order type, then the system copies the strategy sequence of the reference or model order. If you did not maintain a strategy sequence, the system does not copy anything.

If an order already has settlement rules that were manually entered, then automatic generation of settlement rules does not take place.
