Shop Floor Information System: New Standard Analysis for Material Usage

Description

As of release 3.0A, there is a new standard analysis, the material usage analysis, in the Shop Floor Information System.
The analysis can be carried out for production orders and repetitive manufacturing.

Using material usage analysis, you can look into questions like the following: what was the total usage of components for a material; which individual components were affected by material usage; what was the original requirement quantity; what was actually taken?

Data that is updated for the following characteristics and key figures of information structure S026 forms the basis of the analysis:

characteristics key figures
plant requirement quantity
material number for order quantity withdrawn
BOM component value withdrawn
order number

When you create/change a production order, material reservations are generated for material components from the bills of material, that is, a requirement quantity is specified.

When actual data is entered in repetitive manufacturing, the BOM components are updated as a requirement quantity before they are changed.

In the case of goods issue for a production order or the entry of actual data in repetitive manufacturing, material usage is updated for the components.
