Display Browser

Use

You use this graphics browser to get a quick overview of the relationships between objects with which you want to work in Configuration Management. In the browser

You will find information about the predecessor and successor relationships between configuration folders and Baselines.

You look for objects relevant to a configuration folder. Using Drag & Drop you transfer the objects from the browser into the structure of the configuration folder.

Procedure

First select the object that you want to see in the initial node of the browser and click .

If you want to display an object from the worklist in the browser, first deselect the object in the structure of the configuration folder (screen area bottom middle), by clicking in a free area of the screen and then select the object in the worklist. (If an object is selected in both screen areas, the object is displayed from the structure of the configuration folder as default.)

If you have not selected an object in either the worklist or the structure, the system displays the controlled object from the current configuration folder in the browser.

Result

Depending on the type of selected object, the system displays either the product structure browser or the project structure browser:

If you have selected a project definition, a WBS element or a network operation, the system displays the project structure browser.

Otherwise the system displays the product structure browser.
