You determine the calculation type for a condition type in Customizing. This calculation type determines how the system calculates prices, surcharges and discounts for a condition. During initial data creation of condition records up until now, this indicator has been included in the condition record unchanged. Therefore if you wanted to use different calculation types for conditions which are otherwise the same (e.g. percentage, as fixed amount or quantity-dependent), you had to define different condition types in Customizing for them.
Now it is possible for you to enter a different calculation type from Customizing during initial data creation. At the moment any of the available calculation types are permitted. You can only enter the field 'calculation type' when it is empty. If the field has not been completed manually, the Customizing proposal is taken when you press 'ENTER'. After this it is no longer possible to make manual changes.
