Shop Floor Information System: New "Kanban" Standard Analysis

Description

As of Release 3.0A, the standard analysis "Kanban" is available in the Shop Floor Information System. The Kanban standard analysis is based on the data from the Kanban application which is updated for the information structure S029.

Kanban is a production control process where material flow is controlled in an event-driven manner. The advantages of Kanban are that its processes are production-related and simple.
The main goal of Kanban is that production itself controls the production process and that effort spent posting be kept to a minimum.
The automatic control requires a reduction in lead time and in stocks.

For further information on Kanban, please refer to the online documentation on Kanban.
