Changing a Footer Block / Row Block

Example

Problem: You want to change your BOM block so that the footer block of your BOM contains only two rows.

  1. Load the drawing GENBPOS.DWG.
  2. Delete the middle row of the block GENBPOS0. Move the bottom row up to the top row. In the bottom line, enter "Comment" and "Measurement".
  3. Using the block editor, edit row block GENBPOS1. Now insert two "free attributes" (in our example, 15GENST and 16GENST) in the block, and then close the block again.
  4. Using the block editor, edit row block GENBPOS2, and delete only the attributes from the row block. Do not delete the row block from the drawing! If you do, you will encounter problems when you try to insert blocks (the blocks must be numbered sequentially)! Using the block editor, close the block again!
  5. Save the drawing GENBPOS.DWG, and exit it.
