Customer Enhancement: Release Control for Automatic Batch Determination 

Use

You can use the new enhancement PPCO0021 and settings in Customizing to control the release of production and process orders during automatic batch determination.

For orders with components that are subject to be handled in batches, you can use this customer enhancement to specify tolerances within which the components are to be considered "completely covered by batches" for the system. If you do not specify this, the whole requirement must be covered by batches so that the system can consider the requirement covered.
The check control specified in Customizing is run according to this customer enhancement (see below).

Effects on Customizing

In Customizing for shop floor control or process orders

• Choose the enhancement PPCO0021 (Shop floor control: Enhancement During Order Release, Process order: Develop Enhancements for Process Orders)

• For the control of the availability check (Define Checking Control ) create an entry of type Check for released order for which you either specify Release by User Decision if Batches are Missing or No Release if Batches are Missing in the Batch assignment section.
