Example 2 for Make-to-Stock REM

You can use this planning process if you want to produce products with variants in a make-to-stock repetitive manufacturing environment. This process is used in the automotive industry for manufacturing engines, for example. You work with the takt-based scheduling in Sequencing as your production is based on takts and you want to plan orders with large order quantities.

Prerequisites

You define the master data in Line Design.

Process flow

  1. You carry out the MRP run.
  2. You access the REM planning table with Sequencing which triggers takt-based scheduling.
  3. Check the production quantities in the planning table. If necessary, you can also plan other quantities.
  4. You can also display the production quantities as order bars in the sequence schedule where you can process them graphically.
