sampling scheme

Definition

Consists of tables with sampling plans that are dependent on the lot size.

These tables can use the following parameters:

• Acceptable quality level and inspection severity

• Inspection severity

The inspection level is not a sampling scheme parameter in the R/3 System.

Use

You use sampling schemes in association with:

• Sampling procedures , if you want to determine the sample size based on the lot size.

• Sample-drawing procedures , if you want to determine the number of physical samples based on the number of containers in the lot.
