Repetitive Manufacturing: Planning
Description
The following functions are new to the planning area:
- New access to the planning table
It is possible to access the planning table via
a group of production lines (production line set). A work center hierarchy and
a node work center within the hierarchy serves as selection criteria for these
production line sets. The hierarchy is then exploded to the next level from
the node work center. This means that, even if you only enter the hierarchy as
selection criteria, only the work centers from the next lower level are
displayed. The system displays the demand, the supply and the capacity load as
a percentage.
It makes sense to include work centers in the
hierarchy that are also defined as production lines in the production version.
Here, you can branch into the individual production lines to change the run
scheule quantities. The capacity requirements are automatically
adjusted.
- Variable size of the planning table
You can increase or decrease the number of
periods (columns) by using the mouse to drag the window.
- Capacity (graphic) planning table and sequence planning
It is possible to branch into the capacity
planning table for sequence planning from the planning table.
- Run schedule quantities and production orders can be moved with the mouse;
the dates are updated on saving.
- You can determine the scheduling sequence of various run schedule
quantities in the planning table. The sequence in which these quantities are
then distributed over the production lines depends on the original line
occupancy and the scheduling strategy selected in Customizing for capacity
planning.
- It is possible to select smaller buckets than daily ones (time).
- Capacity leveling from material view
It is now also possible to carry out capacity
leveling for the material as well as for the production line. The planning
table is split into two for this purpose. Capacity requirements, supply and
the load as a percentage are displayed in the upper half of the screen.
For more information on this subject, please
refer to the release information "Capacity Planning: New and Changed
Functions".
- New developments in the planning table
- The planning table can be split into two.
- It clearly displays all the information for the material or for the
production line (run schedule quantities, capacity, demand, availability,
range of coverage). You can now backflush from the planning table.
- In the production line view, you can display detailed material data for
each production line, for example, availability, range of coverage. It is
possible to sort the material numbers according to production dates.
- You can display multi-level pegged requirements.
- You can display the range of coverage of the warehouse stock in days:
demand and availability are compared with each other and the system calculates
the range of coverage for each period. The actual range of coverage can be
compared with the minimum range of coverage and the maximum range of
coverage.
- You can displace open run schedule quantities in past periods into the
future; if necessary, the run schedule quantities are distributed over the
interval.
- Quantities that lie before the accessing date are added together and are
displayed as overdue items.
- By double clicking with the mouse on the total demand line, you can
display all the planned independent requirements and customer requirements of
the corresponding period.
- Data from the planning table can be transferred to Microsoft EXCEL and
used for evaluations and for printing functions.
- You can branch into the interactive business and statistics graphic and
where you can change the interactive production data.
