Effects on Customizing

To use this function, define your templates in the Real Estate IMG:
R/3 Real Estate -> Correspondence -> Office Mail Merge (Single Print).
Customizing contains standard letters in MS Word that can be used to generate correspondence.

For technical reasons, you use a fixed number of partners (1-3) in MS Word. It is therefore possible to define role categories for partners. In turn, the role categories are used to specify what information should be made available to which partners.

For each contract type, define a hierarchy of role categories that are the letter recipients. The partner list of the contract is searched according to this hierarchy. The letter recipient is the partner that is found first according to this method.

Each contract has one DDIC structure that is used for transferring data to MS Word. If you want to transfer additional customer-specific R/3 data, use the following BTEs:
BTE 00705900 for old contracts
BTE 00705910 for new contracts
