Setting Up Logical Systems 

Prerequisites

Set up a logical system before you define your ports and partners. For a smoother workflow, perform each of these tasks in the order they appear in this text. Doing so makes less work than performing these tasks in another sequence.

The IMG path varies by release.

Procedure

  1. Choose Tools ® Accelerated SAP ® Customizing ® Edit project.

    2. The Customizing Execute Project screen appears.

  2. Choose Goto ® SAP Reference IMG.

    3. The Display IMG screen appears.

  3. Select and expand the Basis Components file.
  4. Select and expand the Distribution (ALE) file.
  5. Select and expand the Sending and Receiving Systems file.
  6. Select and expand the Logical Systems file.
  7. Select Define Logical System.

    8. The Change View Logical Systems screen appears.

  8. Choose Edit ® New Entries .
  9. In the Log System field, type FILEPORT.
  10. In the Description field, type the appropriate definition for this system, then choose Save.
