PM: Counter-based maintenance planning

Description

From Release 3.0, you can now schedule maintenance tasks on the basis of counter readings.

To do this, you must first maintain points that have been defined as counters for the equipment or locations.

Counter-based maintenance planning is supported in two different forms:

1. Planning with a maintenance strategy, maintenance packages and a dimension
You create a counter-based maintenance strategy (where the dimension of the maintenance packages is not time, for example km, to), where the maintenance packages have the same dimension (quantity unit).
The individual operations are allocated to the packages in the strategy, just as for time-based strategies in Release 2.1/2.2.
2. Planning without a maintenance strategy or maintenance packages, but with several possible dimensions (including time)
Maintenance planning of this kind requires the creation of a multiple counter plan, in which you can allocate several counters of different dimensions to the schedule. The counters are linked either with an OR operation or an AND operation.
Example:
Maintenance is required:
every 100 tonnes produced or
every 50 operating hours or
every 14 days
With this type of counter-based maintenance, all the operations in the task list are copied into the maintenance order when due (in other words, there are no maintenance packages).

Scheduling periods are not supported in the case of counter-based maintenance plans, as scheduling is dependent upon the actual counter reading progression.
