When packing materials or handling units, the system checks whether the packaging materials for the handling unit, to which the items are to be packed, is allowed for packing.
By assigning packaging material types to the material groups for packaging materials, you define which packaging materials are allowed for packing.
By assigning shipping material types to material groups for shipping materials, you define which shipping materials are allowed for packing.
Assign the allowed packaging material types to each material group for
packaging materials.
For materials with no material group for packaging materials, no check is carried out on the elegibility of the packaging material. These materials can always be packed.
By assigning the allowed packaging material types for the various material groups for packaging materials, allowed packaging materials can be displayed for materials that have maintained a material group packaging material.
