Example: Deleting up to a Key Date (PP-BD-RTG)

A header was created, valid from 05/01/1997 through 12/31/9999. The change statuses are displayed in the graphic below. You have already deleted change status 3 online (red cross in the graphic).

You delete with key date 01/01/2000 (dashed, vertical, blue line).

Which change statuses are deleted?

The system

because

deletes change status 1

it finishes before the key date

does not delete change status 3, although you have already deleted online

otherwise a gap would exist between change status 2 and change status 4

Another header and some subordinate objects (two operations and a material component allocation) were also created, valid from 05/01/1997 through 12/31/9999. You have already deleted change status 2 online (red cross in the graphic).

You again delete with key date 01/01/2000.

Which change statuses are deleted?

The system

because

deletes change status 1

it finishes before the key date

deletes change status

it already has been deleted online

deletes change statuses 4, 5, 7 and 8

all the change statuses of the header with which they overlap (change statuses 1 and 2) are also deleted

does not delete change statuses 6,9,10,11 and 12

they overlap with change status 3 of the header which is not deleted
