Backflush for KANBAN Materials
Use
If a production line is the supplier of kanban parts, then the requirement for this production line is created by the kanban signal. The kanban signal creates either a run schedule quantity or manual kanbans as a replenishment element. (For more information, refer to the SAP Document, PP KANBAN, sections
Replenishment With Run Schedule Quantities and
Replenishment With Manual KANBAN.)Once produced, the kanban materials are backflushed using the function described here.
Integration
This function is integrated both in the Repetitive Manufacturing menu and in the KANBAN menu.
Prerequisites
To be able to backflush a material procured using KANBAN, you must maintain the kanban master data, such as the control cycle or the supply area. For more information,
see also
KANBAN Master Data.
Features
As the run schedule quantities created in KANBAN are not reduced in the normal backflush function, a special backflush function is supported in Repetitive Manufacturing.
The functions of the final backflush for KANBAN correspond to the standard Repetitive Manufacturing functions:
If KANBAN with MRP is carried out, the system backflushes and reduces the run schedule quantities with reference to the kanban.
