Transferring Smoothed Requirements 

In the planning table, you can total demand (requirements) from sales orders and planned independent requirements and then distribute it equally over the individual periods as supply quantities. The system then distributes these quantities between the individual production versions.

Procedure

  1. In the planning table, position the cursor on the requirements or the planned independent requirements row.
  2. Choose Quantity changes ® Refresh quantities from ® Smoothed reqmts in the planning table.

    3. A dialog box Selection Days appears where you can define the period.

  3. Enter the period for which you want to transfer and smooth requirements and choose Continue.

    4. The system displays the dialog box Distribute Prod.Quantities

  4. If a quota arrangement has been maintained for the material, the dialog box appears where you can check how the system has distributed the quantity over the individual production versions. You can make changes here, if necessary.

    5. If no quota arrangement has been maintained for the material, check the proposed production versions in the dialog box and enter a quota of 1 if you want to produce the complete quantity (100%) on one production line.

    Enter the appropriate quotas if you want to distribute the production quantity over several lines.

  5. Choose Continue.

You return to the planning table.

As an alternative to this procedure, you can also use the Select buttons to select your period.

Result

The requirements were transferred as receipts and distributed to the appropriate production lines.
