Increasing/Reducing Production Quantities Over a Period of Time 

Use

In the REM planning table, you can increase or reduce the production quantities over a certain period of time. Production quantities that have already been assigned to production versions are automatically adjusted according to the changes.

Procedure

You have the following options for increasing or reducing the quantities in the planning table:

The simplest option (using the select options):

  1. Select the rows with the production quantities to be increased or reduced.
  2. Select the period columns to define the period.
  3. Choose Quantity changes ® Incr./decr. quantities. The system displays the dialog box entitled Increase/Decrease Quantities.
  4. Select whether the production quantities are to be increased or reduced and enter the appropriate quantity.
  5. Choose Continue.

The system reduces/increases the production quantities according to your selections.

 

Further options:

  1. APosition the cursor on the row of the production line for which you want to either increase or decrease the production quantities.
  2. AChoose Quantity changes ® Incr./decr. quantities.

    3. A dialog box Selection Days appears where you can define the period.

  3. AEnter the period for which you want to increase or decrease the receipts and choose Continue.

    4. The system displays the dialog box entitled Increase/Decrease Quantities.

     

    Alternatively, you can also proceed as follows:

  4. BPosition the cursor on the row of the production line, on the first quantity you want to either increase or decrease and choose Select.

    5. The selected quantity is highlighted.

  5. BPosition the cursor on the quantity at the end of the period and then choose Select. The system takes note of your selected period.
  6. Choose Quantity changes ® Incr./decr. quantities.

    7. The system displays the dialog box entitled Increase/Decrease Quantities.

     

    In both cases, proceed as follows:

  7. Select whether the production quantities are to be increased or reduced and enter the appropriate quantity. Choose Continue.

The system reduces/increases the production quantities according to your selections.
